Job description

Quality Control Engineer (experienced in Power Plant Project)

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a QC Engineer in EPC or construction projects, preferably in power plant or industrial plant projects.

Hands-on experience in implementing quality systems and performing inspections on civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping works.

Familiar with relevant standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, etc.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and related standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the project’s Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with ISO standards and client requirements.
  • Monitor and inspect on-site activities including civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works to ensure compliance with approved procedures and drawings.
  • Conduct material receiving inspections and verify compliance with specifications and required documentation (e.g., Mill Test Certificates, Material Inspection Reports).
  • Liaise with third-party inspectors and client representatives during inspections and tests.
  • Coordinate and conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and witness Hydrostatic, Pneumatic, and Functional Tests.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports, test reports, NCRs, and corrective actions.
  • Support construction teams in resolving quality-related issues.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
