FOOM Indonesia is seeking a Quality Control Assistant Manager to maintain quality across production stages. Responsible for supervising incoming materials, inline production quality, vendor compliance, and training quality inspectors, this role is critical for adherence to FOOM’s strict quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
FOOM Indonesia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant Manager to oversee and maintain the quality of materials, processes, and finished goods across all production stages. This role is instrumental in upholding FOOM’s quality standards and ensuring regulatory compliance through effective supervision, quality assurance programs, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC):
Supervise inspection and testing of raw materials and components upon arrival
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams on material non-conformance issues
Maintain accurate IQC documentation and records
2. Inline Production Quality Control (IPQC):
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards
Conduct in-process checks and initiate corrective actions when deviations occur
Work closely with production, R&D, and engineering teams to ensure consistent quality
3. Final Quality Control (FQC):
Ensure all finished goods are inspected and meet FOOM’s product quality standards before distribution
Implement batch release protocols and ensure traceability
4. Vendor Quality Management:
Evaluate and audit supplier and vendor processes to ensure ongoing compliance
Collaborate with vendors on quality improvement plans and corrective actions
Monitor vendor performance using key quality metrics
5. Quality Systems & Compliance:
Support implementation and maintenance of quality systems such as GMP, ISO, or HACCP (if applicable)
Prepare and manage internal quality reports, including non-conformance, CAPA, and trend analysis
Lead quality investigations and documentation for product complaints or quality deviations
6. Leadership & Team Supervision:
Lead and develop a team of quality inspectors and analysts
Provide training and mentoring to ensure best practices in quality control procedures
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across departments
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, Food Technology, or a related field
At least 4 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance, preferably in FMCG, electronics, cosmetics, or related industries
Strong knowledge of quality systems, control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards
Hands-on experience with QC tools, root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and internal audits
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
