Job summary

PT Manoor Bulatn Lestari (MBL) is hiring a Quality Coal Manager to lead coal quality control in West Kutai, East Kalimantan. You will oversee sampling, laboratory testing, and quality analysis to meet company and customer specs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with mining, processing, and commercial teams, reviewing test results, and driving continuous improvement in testing accuracy. A chemical engineering background with 8–10 years of QC/lab experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 8–10 years in coal quality, laboratory, or mining with managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of coal quality parameters and testing.
• Familiar with ASTM and ISO coal quality standards.
• Experience managing QC/Laboratory teams and investigations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Job Description:

• Manage and develop the QC & Laboratory team, including competency and performance.
• Coordinate with Mining, Processing, Marketing, Commercial, laboratories, and surveyors on coal quality matters.
• Prepare quality reports and drive continuous improvement in coal quality and testing accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in coal quality, laboratory, or mining, with managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of coal quality parameters, sampling, sample preparation, and laboratory testing.
• Familiar with ASTM, ISO, and applicable coal quality standards.
• Experienced in managing QC/Laboratory teams and quality investigations.
• Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Relevant coal quality/laboratory certification is an advantage.
