PT Garda Tujuh Buana Tbk is seeking a field-oriented Geology/Mining professional to plan, oversee, and evaluate exploration processes for coal reserves at Bunyu, Kalimantan. The role involves supervising drilling, logging lithology, collecting samples, and ensuring coal quality aligns with market demands.
The candidate should have a Geology-related degree and 1–3 years of mining experience, with strong data accuracy and safety commitments. Willingness to work on-site at Bunyu is essential.
Plan, oversee, and evaluate exploration processes to determine the presence, quality, and quantity of coal reserves, ensuring they can be mined safely and economically.
Supervise core drilling operations and rock lithology logging (geological logging);
Collect coal samples for quality testing in the laboratory;
Control daily coal quality to meet market demands;
Provide direction to heavy equipment operators if anomalies or structural shifts in the coal seam are encountered in the field;
Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or related field.
Experienced with 1–3 years of relevant mining experience are welcome.
Good understanding of geological mapping, sampling, logging, grade control, and mineral/coal quality control.
Familiar with QA/QC procedures, sample preparation, laboratory processes, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong commitment to data accuracy, quality standards, and K3/safety.
Willing to work at a mining site in Bunyu, Kalimantan Utara under a roster system.
