Job summary

PT OSI ELECTRONICS Batam, Indonesia, seeks an experienced APAC QA Director to lead the QMS strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across multi-site electronics manufacturing.

This senior role ensures compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949 where applicable, while driving a culture of quality, accountability, and risk‑based decision‑making across APAC. You will oversee QA, QE, supplier quality, and compliance teams and lead audits and CAPA closure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of quality experience in electronics manufacturing, especially in PCBA or EMS environments.
  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams and multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, controls, and quality systems.
  • Strong understanding of IPC standards such as IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001, and IPC‑7711/21.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the company’s quality vision, strategy, and objectives in line with overall business goals.
  • Build and promote a quality‑first culture that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus across all quality functions.
  • Provide leadership across QA, QE, Supplier Quality, and Compliance teams in a multi‑site manufacturing environment.
  • Establish, implement, maintain, and standardize an effective QMS across APAC sites.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949, where applicable, while aligning QMS processes with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the main quality interface for key customers, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.
  • Lead the resolution of customer complaints, RMAs, quality escalations, and CAPA activities to ensure timely and effective corrective action.
  • Support customer audits, certification audits, surveillance audits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring full audit readiness and closure of nonconformances.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced APAC QA Director to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across a multi-site electronics manufacturing operation specializing in PCBA, cable/harness, and system integration.

This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving a strong culture of quality, operational excellence, accountability, and risk-based decision‑making. The position also plays a key role in aligning quality performance with business goals and customer satisfaction across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute the company’s quality vision, strategy, and objectives in line with overall business goals.

Build and promote a quality‑first culture that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus across all quality functions.

Provide leadership across QA, QE, Supplier Quality, and Compliance teams in a multi‑site manufacturing environment.

Establish, implement, maintain, and standardize an effective QMS across APAC sites.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949, where applicable, while aligning QMS processes with customer and regulatory requirements.

Serve as the main quality interface for key customers, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.

Lead the resolution of customer complaints, RMAs, quality escalations, and CAPA activities to ensure timely and effective corrective action.

Support customer audits, certification audits, surveillance audits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring full audit readiness and closure of nonconformances.

Oversee quality assurance activities across PCBA manufacturing, cable/wire harness, and box build operations.

Ensure robust quality controls across incoming inspection, supplier quality, in‑process inspection, AOI, ICT, functional testing, and final inspection and release.

Drive product conformity, traceability, reliability, and overall manufacturing quality performance.

Lead supplier quality management, including supplier qualification, monitoring, development, performance measurement, and corrective action follow‑up.

Define, monitor, and analyze key quality KPIs such as yield, DPPM, COPQ, customer quality, on‑time delivery, supplier quality, scrap, rework, and CAPA effectiveness.

Deliver quality data analysis and executive‑level reporting to support decision‑making and business improvement.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, RCA, 8D, and other risk‑based quality tools and methodologies.

Support digital and data‑driven quality transformation, including predictive quality systems and real‑time process monitoring.

Build and develop a high‑performing quality organization, with clear roles, responsibilities, and cross‑functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a multi‑site environment with frequent interaction with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Willingness to travel 20–30% as required.
