Job summary

PT DIOBENI MEBEL INDONESIA in Cirebon, West Java, is seeking an experienced QC Manager to oversee quality performance across our furniture manufacturing operations. You will lead the QC function, strengthen controls through production, and ensure finished products meet customer and export-market expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in furniture manufacturing, ideally export-oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related field.
• Strong leadership experience building and guiding a QC team.
• Solid understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishing, packaging, and production processes.
• Knowledge of SEDEX, FSC, CARB, Prop 65, CPSIA, TSCA and export-market requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve quality control procedures across receiving, production, finishing, packing, and final inspection.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate the QC team to ensure consistent inspection standards and strong team performance.
• Verify that products meet approved specifications, workmanship standards, and customer requirements before shipment.
• Investigate defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints, and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented.
• Track quality performance, including rejection, rework, and recurring defects, and initiate improvement programs.
• Work with Purchasing and suppliers to improve the quality of materials, components, and outsourced products.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with applicable quality, safety, and export requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and improve quality control procedures across receiving, production, finishing, packing, and final inspection.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of QA/QC experience in furniture manufacturing, ideally within an export-oriented company.
3. Demonstrated experience leading and developing a QC team.
4. Good understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishing, packaging, and production processes.
5. Knowledge or experience in rattan furniture manufacturing is an advantage.
6. Knowledge of US and European market requirements and familiarity with SEDEX, FSC, CARB, Prop 65, CPSIA, and TSCA.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
8. Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
