A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking a CMM Inspector to ensure quality control processes across machining operations. This role involves programming and operating CMM, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment to uphold high standards. Candidates are expected to have a degree in engineering and significant QC experience, ideally with a strong background in machining.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
CMM inspector:

Program and operate the CMM (Crysta Apex), Mitrac. Develop and maintain CMM programming according to product specifications

In charge for CMM inspection, incoming, process and outgoing product according to work instruction and applied procedure. MRP gauges inspection, thread inspection etc

Work with operator, regarding setup personnel and machine setup, programming and resolve quality issues
4
Ensure machining parts are in good condition, withing dimension tolerance and no visual defect before release to production or customer.

Follow up any quality issues and NCR regarding machining activity

Report to Supervisor regarding daily inspection activities or issue
7
Ensure the machine and program is working properly to achieve the desired product.

Maintain machine calibration to ensure proper measuring and machining activity.

Prepare report QC (Dimension report, machinist inspection report, Fitment and trial report, traceability report, and final inspection report.)

MTC Review

Uploading and maintaining the report per job order number

Prepare route sheet and TPI arrangements if needed.
Calibration master
1
Maintaining and controlling for all equipment and machine calibration.

Perform verification of equipment before using as per work instruction
3
Performing routine equipment maintenance/calibration check.

Troubleshooting equipment failures/ liaise with vendor if any equipment failure.

Suggesting for calibration upgrades

Liaise with vendor regarding calibration, quotation request and raise PR for calibration.
Maintaining the gage pack for calibration date expired date

Ensure that all calibration has being done according to PO, work instructions and applied procedures.

Review calibration certificate

Maintaining the record and history for calibration.

Maintaining the sticker attached on the equipment regarding calibration date and certificate number

Provide calibration certificate if needed

Performing in-house calibration and verification according to Work instruction and procedures.

Make certificate for in-house calibration

Maintaining additional calibration activities and recertification if needed (such as, drift, sling, eye bolt, shackle etc )

Maintaining the condition and availability of our equipment, control the movement of our equipment.

Maintaining the gauge room in proper condition for equipment storage

Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping within designated area, which will include the upkeep of your machine and surrounding floor area.

Accept and perform any additional work-related instructions/activities, to the best of his ability, as determined by the department supervisor/manager.

Comply with OSI Quality Management System, OSI HE&E policy and requirements.
Formal Education & Certification
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge & Experience
Five years of experience as QC Inspector, machining background preferred.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word).
Knowledge of Mitutoyo Crysta Apex CMM, with M Cosmos version 3 software preferred.
Ability to train and coach less experienced QC Inspectors.
Personal Attributes
Speak and read English fluently.
Good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team, a team player.
