QC Audit

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our Quality Control (QC) function within the External Audit department. This role is vital in ensuring our firm’s compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit quality policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and enforce firm-wide audit quality control policies and procedures by the ISA and applicable local standards.
2. Perform pre-issuance and post-issuance reviews of audit files to assess compliance with auditing and accounting standards.
3. Provide technical guidance to audit teams on complex accounting and auditing issues.
4. Develop and conduct internal training on audit methodology, quality standards, and regulatory updates.
5. Collaborate with audit engagement partners to monitor audit risk management and compliance with independence.
6. Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
7. Assist in external and internal inspection processes (e.g., IFIAR, regulator reviews).
8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit tools, checklists, and templates.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 8–10 years of progressive experience in external audit, with at least 3 years in a quality control or technical review role.
3. In-depth knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and IFRS.
4. Strong understanding of quality control frameworks such as ISQM 1.
5. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
6. Experience with regulatory inspections or peer reviews is a strong advantage.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines under pressure.

Preferred Skills

1. Prior experience in Big 4 or top-tier audit firms is highly desirable.
2. Familiarity with data analytics tools and audit software.
3. Fluency in English.
