QAQC cum Halal Executive - Based at Genting Highlands

As a Halal Executive (QA/QC), the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the quality standards are met with optimal quality at our processing plant & farms. He/She will handle inspection of goods/raw & packaging materials receiving, reporting findings to the Food Safety Manager. The candidate will also serve as the Halal Coordinator for the company. The candidate should possess good communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring safe and compliant food production.

Job Descriptions:

1. Perform receiving inspection and data collection of incoming materials on FIFO basis.
2. Check, analyze, and report physical defects of incoming goods.
3. Review, analyze, and report the Certificate of Analysis (COA) and/or Letter of Guarantee (LOG) for incoming goods.
4. Follow up on defects or non-compliances compared to Product Specifications and file for CARs.
5. Audit raw materials warehouse, chemicals store, and finished goods area to ensure FIFO issuance.
6. Support regulatory affairs issues, if any.
7. Implement and verify Food Safety/HACCP/GMP/GLP standards within the company.
8. Assist in responding to internal and external customer complaints.
9. Update Halal Committee on global Halal industry developments and prepare reports for meetings.
10. Register new products and apply for Halal certification per JAKIM regulations.
11. Ensure raw materials and production processes meet Halal standards.
12. Maintain records to track Halal status and certification of ingredients and products.
13. Respond to non-conformance issues and ensure timely recertification.
14. Liaise with JAKIM/JAIP and other agencies regarding Halal and operational matters.
15. Implement and maintain Halal Assurance System (HAS) with JAKIM updates.
16. Conduct Halal awareness training and internal audits.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in Food Technology/Science or equivalent, with a Halal Executive Certificate.
2. Minimum 3 years of quality management experience in the food industry, packing house, or farming.
3. Malaysian citizen responsible for Halal compliance.
4. Basic knowledge of QA/QC and/or Production preferred.
5. Understanding of food safety, quality management, GMP, and Halal standards.
6. Knowledge of QC handling for goods receiving.
7. In-depth knowledge of Malaysia Halal System Management and Quality Standards.
8. Willing to work in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
