Contego is seeking a QA/QC Manager based in Jakarta, Indonesia, embedded within the client delivery team. The role focuses on ensuring supplier output meets brand, technical, and compliance standards across POSM and Premiums, with hands-on QC for signage and related materials.

You will review prototypes, artwork, proofs, and finished goods, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvements across supplier networks and markets, including on-site inspections and audits in-country.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in quality control, production, or procurement within the marketing activation industry.
• Experience with print production processes and materials for POSM and Premiums.
• Proven ability to perform supplier inspections and factory audits.
• Knowledge of regional standards (CE, REACH, CPSIA) and product safety testing.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.

Description

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring supplier output consistently meets client brand, technical, and compliance standards across all relevant POSM and Premiums categories. Operating within the market, they work closely with production teams and suppliers—both remotely and on-site to uphold executional excellence.

The role is focused on quality assurance at every stage of the production process. This includes conducting thorough reviews of prototypes, artwork, pre-production samples, and finished goods. The QC Manager also identifies opportunities to improve quality processes and leads corrective actions when issues arise.

The role will primarily support our beverage account in Indonesia, with a strong focus on signage, from fabrication through to outlet installation.

We're looking for candidates with hands‑on QC experience in signage, such as illuminated signs, lightboxes, metal, acrylic and LED, as well as print and POSM. Beverage or FMCG experience is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-production, on-site, and post-production quality control checks with POSM and Premiums suppliers
• Review artwork, prototypes, print proofs, and final products to ensure full compliance with brand, technical, and safety standards
• Support production teams with quality guidance and technical input across both POSM and Premiums categories
• Flag and manage quality issues, coordinating corrective actions with internal and supplier teams
• Ensure adherence to agreed specifications, sustainability requirements, and client expectations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply partners and sourcing markets

Any specific role requirements

• Must be based in-market and embedded within the client delivery team.
• Willingness to travel locally to conduct on-site supplier visits and quality inspections.
• Hands‑on experience with QC tools, safety testing platforms, artwork platforms
• Experience with compliance tracking systems, and colour management software is a plus

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in quality control, production, or procurement roles within the marketing activation industry, covering both POSM (Point-of-Sale Materials) and Premiums.
• Deep understanding of print production processes, material types, manufacturing methods, and finishing techniques relevant to both display and merchandise production.
• Demonstrated expertise in product compliance, product safety testing requirements, and risk assessment across multiple markets, with knowledge of regional standards (e.g. CE, REACH, CPSIA).
• Proven ability to identify and flag production issues early in the lifecycle and implement preventive quality strategies.
• Experience working with global supplier networks, including onsite inspections, factory audits, and product validation protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and defect classification frameworks (AQL or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dyelines, and 3D mockups for accuracy and feasibility.
• Familiarity with sustainability regulations, recycled content certifications, and environmental impact assessment in production.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a methodical and structured approach to problem solving.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to work cross‑functionally with internal teams and suppliers, including giving feedback and leading corrective actions.
• Highly organised and comfortable working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments with multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office, and experience with procurement/quality workflow tools (e.g. Helix, SAP, or similar platforms) is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally to condust on-site reviews and inspections as required
