About The Roles

We are seeking an experienced Innovation QA Engineer to join our team at PT Filtrona Manufacturing Indonesia in Sidoarjo, East Java. As an Innovation QA Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that new product developments, technologies, and processes meet both innovation and quality goals. You’ll bridge product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition from concept to commercialization without compromising safety, compliance, or reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Innovation Project Support: Collaborate with R&D teams on product concepts, define quality requirements early, support feasibility studies and pilot runs, and drive “Right First Time” practices.
  2. Testing & Validation: Develop test plans, coordinate lab/pilot testing (e.g., performance, safety), and validate new processes, tooling, and machines before scale-up.
  3. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC), and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the quality interface with suppliers and support manufacturing/NPI teams for seamless product transfer.
  5. Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain quality records, track lessons learned, and prepare validated data for internal and customer presentations.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Deliver risk assessments and specifications for all new products.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Qualify all new materials and processes before commercialization.
  • Align innovation and manufacturing teams to avoid delays and compliance risks.
  • Report regularly on quality status, risks, and mitigation plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) or Science/Technology.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering.
  • Experience in process improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Exposure to innovation, R&D, or New Product Introduction (NPI) environments preferred.
