Overview

PERSOL APAC is currently assisting one of our clients in a Japanese Garment company in finding great talent as a Purchasing Manager with the requirement as follows:

Working location: Tegal Panas, Semarang

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant procurement regulations.
  • Manage and lead the purchasing team to achieve performance targets.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or trading company.
  • Strong expertise in supplier sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience managing a purchasing team and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
  • Solid understanding of market trends, cost analysis, and budgeting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Relevant certifications in procurement/supply chain management are an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
