Overview

We are a well-established and fast-growing animal feed trading company based in Indonesia, serving the livestock and poultry sectors across Southeast Asia. Known for our reliability and quality-driven approach, we specialize in sourcing and supplying a wide range of raw materials and feed ingredients to leading manufacturers and producers.

Position Overview

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end of feed commodities, including soybean meal, corn, DDGS, premixes, and additives. The role involves global sourcing, supplier negotiation, inventory control, and close coordination with logistics and sales functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing plans for feed ingredients aligned with business needs
• Identify, evaluate, and manage a global network of reliable suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality supply
• Monitor commodity market trends, risks, and pricing strategies
• Maintain healthy inventory levels in line with sales forecasts and warehouse capacity
• Work closely with the finance and logistics teams on planning and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, import, and product quality standards
• Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain, Animal Nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the animal feed or agri-trading sector.
• Strong knowledge of international feed ingredients and commodity trade flows.
• Understanding of Incoterms, import/export procedures, and logistics coordination.
• Proficient in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical decision-making and integrity in Purchasing practices.
• Fluent in English both spokenandwritten
