About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing Engineering professional to join our dynamic team at PT. OCWSB Pratama Indonesia. As a Purchasing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations. Reporting to the senior Purchasing Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks to ensure high-quality supplier screening and evaluation, aiming to select the best materials, products, or services to enhance customer satisfaction. This full-time position is based in West Jakarta, with our Workshop located at MM2100 Industrial Area, West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province.

What you'll be doing

1. Understanding technical data and specifications required by designers or technicians.
2. Researching and identifying prospective suppliers and monitoring their performance.
3. Communicating equipment needs to suppliers and evaluating options.
4. Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms.
5. Comparing offers, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports.
6. Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
7. Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and addressing shortcomings.
8. Ensuring purchased products meet specifications and negotiating with vendors as needed.
9. Collaborating with organizational leaders to understand their needs.
10. Achieving supply goals in a timely manner.
11. Reviewing quality, legal, and contractual responsibilities related to purchases.
12. Facilitating communication between stakeholders, managers, and team members regarding purchasing activities.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor’s or associate degree in Engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience in technical purchasing or similar roles.
3. Knowledge of computer data entry.
4. Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
7. Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
8. Additional certifications or licenses may be required.
9. Experience with SAP and SCM systems is preferred.
