Job summary

Savaya Group in Bali is seeking a Shift Leader of Public Area to oversee the cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep of the venue’s public spaces. You will guide the public area team during your shift, coordinate priorities, and help ensure guests and colleagues experience a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

The role requires experience in public area cleaning or housekeeping, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in public area cleaning, housekeeping, or a related hospitality role.
• Experience guiding colleagues or coordinating tasks during a shift.
• Strong eye for detail and take pride in maintaining clean, well-presented spaces.
• Organised, dependable, and able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Professional proficiency in English; Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support public area team members during assigned shifts.
• Allocate duties and coordinate cleaning schedules according to operational needs.
• Inspect public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for service.
• Oversee the upkeep of guest and staff areas, including entrances, walkways, washrooms, and shared spaces.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed in line with venue standards and procedures.
• Monitor the availability of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other required materials.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, and repair requirements to the relevant team.
• Respond promptly to guest or team requests relating to public area cleanliness and upkeep.
• Support the safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ensure team members follow health, safety, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and feedback to support consistent performance.
• Maintain shift handover notes and communicate outstanding tasks or operational concerns.
• Support opening, closing, event preparation, and post-event cleaning as required.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Operations to address changing venue priorities.
