Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager - Commissioning for Data Centre projects. You will plan, lead and manage commissioning activities to ensure systems and facilities are installed, tested and operated safely and in line with project specs.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee testing, manage resources and contractor interfaces, and drive handover readiness to operations while mitigating risks and ensuring schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commissioning Manager or Commissioning Lead on DATA CENTER projects.
• Exposure to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Proven leadership of commissioning teams on large-scale projects (industrial, oil & gas, power, or infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, turnover processes, and handover to operations.
• Solid HSSE awareness, risk assessment and safe work practices during commissioning and start-up.

The purpose of the Commissioning Manager position is to plan, lead, and manage all commissioning activities to ensure that systems, equipment, and facilities are installed, tested, and operated safely, reliably, and in full compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.

This role provides critical contribution by bridging Engineering, Construction, and Operations, ensuring a smooth transition from project execution to operational readiness, minimizing technical risks, delays, and rework, and ultimately supporting timely project handover and operational excellence.

Early involvement at this stage is required to support systemization, commissioning planning, constructability and operability reviews, interface management, and risk mitigation activities, ensuring commissioning readiness and alignment with the project schedule.

• Experience working as a Commissioning Manager or Commissioning Lead / Supervisor on DATA CENTER projects.
• Significant exposure to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Proven experience leading commissioning teams on large-scale industrial, oil & gas, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, systemization, turnover processes, and handover to operations.
• Solid understanding of HSSE requirements, risk assessments, and safe work practices during commissioning and start-up.
