The Contracts Manager is responsible for aligning scope of work with contract agreements between Kuehne + Nagel and Client and between Kuehne + Nagel and its vendors. The CM will be responsible for identifying gaps between SOW and Client contract. The role will also ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include managing subcontractor negotiation, reviewing terms, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company policies, monitoring ongoing performance, and maintaining accurate contract records. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Execution Management: Overseeing execution of contract of Tangguh UCC Project.
- Drafting & Negotiation: Reviewing and refining contract documents, as well as negotiating terms with clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards, and conducting risk analyses.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the ongoing compliance of all parties with the contractual obligations and ensuring all terms are adhered to.
- Record Keeping: Establishing and maintaining a structured and easily accessible system for all contract-related documents and records.
- Implementing a project contracting methodology and execution: establish and implement project change order and variation order protocols, tracking and record keeping
Key Skills and Qualities
- Legal and Business Acumen: A strong understanding of contracts, legal requirements, and the O&G EPC construction project environment.
- Negotiation and Communication: Excellent skills in negotiating complex agreements and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze risks, evaluate proposals, and understand the financial and legal implications of contracts.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously and to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in EPC, or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Language: Advanced English proficiency (both written and conversational) is required.
- Location: Based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
