Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. You will ensure that all engineering disciplines within the project are executed efficiently and cost-effectively. You will also serve as a design authority for a specific engineering discipline and complete the corresponding engineering assignments. The work model for this role is: #onsite. This position contributes to the Process Automation - Energy Industries business and is located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Your main responsibilities include:

• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Coaching project engineers and designers on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation, including modeling, prototyping, and calculations.
• Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) across all engineering disciplines, both in-house and outsourced.
• Applying design thinking and design for excellence concepts, including modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Control Instrumentation/Automation/Electronics Engineering.
• Over 10 years of hands-on engineering and commissioning experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) related to Power & Water projects, including Geothermal Power Plants, Hydro Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, District Cooling Plants, etc.
• Thorough understanding of power and water plant processes, with specialization in applications and solutions for integrated process control.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Lead Engineer in both Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Knowledge of third-party interfaces and integration methods, including Fieldbus protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, IEC60870-5-101/104, IEC61850, etc. Experience with 800XA/Symphony Harmony platform is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Virtualization, Networking, and Cybersecurity. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Projects, and AutoCAD.
• Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
