Job summary

BECA in Jakarta is seeking a Project Accountant to support project financial management across the lifecycle. You will work with project managers and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong commercial performance.

Responsibilities include preparing forecasts and dashboards, monitoring budgets, invoicing, WIP and receivables, and providing insights to improve cash flow, governance, and project controls.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in Project Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working towards CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support project financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain project financial reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
• Monitor project budgets, revenue recognition, costs, and profitability.
• Assist project leaders with monthly project reviews and financial performance analysis.
• Manage client invoicing processes and support working capital initiatives.
• Monitor WIP, unbilled revenue, and debtor performance to help improve cash flow outcomes.
• Support project governance, project controls, audits, and compliance activities.
• Assist with contract administration relating to invoicing, reporting, variations, and budget changes.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with project teams and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial support.
