Job summary

APP Group in Indonesia seeks a qualified engineer to provide technical support during engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up of large industrial projects. You will review designs, specifications, drawings and vendor documentation and coordinate with project teams, operations, maintenance, contractors, consultants and OEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in pulp & paper, recovery boilers, power generation, or large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience in project engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Good understanding of industrial equipment, process systems, and engineering standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Good understanding of HSE and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, drawings, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, operations, maintenance, contractors, consultants, and OEMs.
• Monitor installation and construction activities to ensure technical, quality, and safety compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, project interfaces, and operational risks.
• Participate in HAZOP, inspections, FAT/SAT, performance testing, and project handover.
• Support troubleshooting and optimisation of Recovery Boiler and RCLK systems.
• Ensure integration with existing mill processes, utilities, and control systems.
• Support technical documentation and knowledge transfer to operations and maintenance teams.
