Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead architectural, interior, and landscape design projects across international regions including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and ASEAN countries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage cross-functional design teams (architecture, interior, landscape, and technical).
2. Develop project strategies, timelines, and internal workflows.
3. Review design deliverables and ensure alignment with project goals and documentation standards.
4. Monitor project progress, quality control, and master scheduling.
5. Oversee design budgets and drive cost efficiency.
6. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
7. Represent SHL in client and partner meetings; maintain strong professional relationships.
8. Coordinate with sales for proposal development and approve project proposals and agreements.
9. Provide input during project negotiations and support key decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural project leadership, preferably with international exposure and hospitality design (hotel, resort, villa, restaurant).
• Strong project management skills and experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Proficient in design processes, documentation review, budgeting, and risk management.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language(s) a plus.
