Job summary

ib vogt is seeking a Project Development Manager to lead PV and/or BESS project development in Indonesia, based in Jakarta and working onsite. The role covers day-to-day project management, contract negotiation, permitting, and stakeholder engagement in collaboration with the APAC team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in renewable energy in Indonesia, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, and experience with utility-scale solar projects (PLN as offtaker is a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy in Indonesia.
• Experience with a successful utility-scale solar project with PT PLN as offtaker a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project development activities from post-origination to start-of-construction in Indonesia.
• Manage budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for development projects.
• Review and negotiate project agreements (PPA, lease, JV, EPC, O&M).
• Manage and track existing development contracts.
• Secure permits and ensure social and environmental compliance throughout development and construction.
• Engage local community for project support.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain timeline, value, and budget.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project, Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams.

Job Description

Summary of the Role:

The Project Development Manager will handle project development activities for PV and/or BESS projects awarded and/or under development in Indonesia. The Project Development Manager will be responsible for all related works, including but not limited to, day-to-day project management, contract negotiation, permitting, as well as external stakeholders management

Responsibilities

• Manage project development activities from post-origination / tender award to start-of-construction according to high, international standard, in collaboration with the Indonesian Business Development team and supporting units in APAC region;
• Manage budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for assigned development projects to ensure timely progress.
• Contribute to the review and negotiation of project agreements: PPA, lease agreement, JV agreements, EPC and O&M contract;
• Managing and tracking existing development contracts;
• Secure permits and ensure social and environmental compliance throughout the development, construction, and operation of projects;
• Engage local community for project support;
• Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project timeline, value optimization, and budget;
• Interface with all internal project’s functional areas: Engineering, Project, Finance, Accounting, Legal.
• Work with finance department during financial feasibility analysis, evaluation, and during the project debt and tax equity financing processes;
• Management of project due diligence processes;
• Any other related task as requested by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

Qualification(s) & Requirements of This Role

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy industry in Indonesia
• Experience working on a successful utility scale solar project with PT PLN as offtaker
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skill
• Experience with collocated PV and BESS projects is a plus
