Job description

T H Equipment is a leading provider of stainless-steel kitchen equipment products in Malaysia, serving the industry since 1988. We manufacture high-quality products encompassing cooking and warming equipment, dining essentials, as well as specialized services including Metal Sheets Service, Custom Made Products, and Project Consultancy. We are looking for Project Designer (Draughtsman) to join our project team. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in the company’s projects as well as in the growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparation of technical drawings based on input provided, using drafting software (CAD).
2. Draft and prepare customized design solutions as per requests and review by the Project Director; revise drawings and layouts to reflect changes and enhancements.
3. Prepare quotations according to customer requests and requirements.
4. Finalize drawings ensuring proposed products/systems are in correct dimensions (based on site conditions) and in accordance with company products.
5. Liaise with customers to confirm details before proceeding with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works.
6. Site coordination, measurements, and meetings with customers.
7. Assign drawing numbers, creation dates, and revision numbers in technical drawings.
8. Follow up with customers for hand-over dates aligned with production schedules.
9. Monitor item delivery at site based on confirmed drawings; revert to production regarding any defects or equipment issues.
10. Control and systematically store documents for easy access with proper search criteria.
11. Handle customer inquiries, including payment terms and conditions.

Qualifications

1. Professional Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, CAD Drafting, or equivalent.
2. 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
3. Proficiency in AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Inventor / 3Ds Max is a plus.
4. Basic knowledge of stainless-steel equipment (commercial kitchen).
5. Calculative and creative skills.
6. Good interpersonal skills to communicate with contractors and customers.
7. Ability to work independently.
8. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
9. Detail-oriented and responsible for meeting project timelines.
10. Develop communication skills for handling contractor-customer relationships.
11. Willingness to improve mechanical and electrical knowledge for site coordination.
12. Effective time management skills to plan own schedule for drawings and site visits.
13. Basic problem-solving skills for site issues as a site coordinator.
14. Ability to coordinate with production and installation teams, with potential leadership development at site.
