Project Coordinator (Steel Structure Works)
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Project Planning & Documentation
- Assist in preparing project schedules, method statements, and progress reports.
- Maintain and update project documentation: drawings, RFIs, VO (Variation Orders), approvals.
- Distribute latest approved drawings/instructions to site team.
- 2. Communication & Coordination
- Act as a liaison between project manager, site team, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Follow up on procurement and material deliveries (steel sections, bolts, welding rods, etc.).
- Coordinate with design team for shop drawings and approvals.
- 3. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily and weekly progress on fabrication and installation.
- Record site activities and prepare daily reports.
- Highlight issues, delays, or risks to Project Manager with suggested solutions.
- 4. Logistics & Resource Management
- Coordinate transportation of steel members, equipment, and manpower to site.
- Verify material delivery orders and ensure correct items/quantities received.
- Support site supervisors in resolving logistics or manpower issues.
- 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure works comply with specifications, QA/QC procedures, and client requirements.
- Monitor that site teams follow health and safety regulations.
- Collect and file inspection reports, test results, and permits.
- 6. Client & Stakeholder Support
- Prepare progress updates for client and consultant meetings.
- Support in progress claim submissions and billing documentation.
- Attend site meetings and represent company in absence of Project Manager.

- 1. Schedule Adherence
- % of project milestones achieved on time.
- Timeliness of progress report submissions.
- 2. Documentation Accuracy
- % of project documents (drawings, RFIs, VO) updated and properly filed.
- Number of document errors or missing approvals.
- 3. Procurement & Logistics
- % of materials delivered on schedule.
- Number of site delays caused by logistics issues.
- 4. Communication Effectiveness
- Response time to client/supplier/subcontractor queries.
- Number of unresolved coordination issues escalated.
- 5. Quality & Safety
- Number of QA/QC non-conformance reports (NCR) raised.
- Number of safety incidents or violations on site.
- 6. Financial Support
- Timeliness of supporting documents for claims, invoices, and VO submission.
- % of accurate cost tracking updates delivered.
