Project Controller Job Description

Position Overview: The Construction Project Controller will be integral in overseeing the financial and schedule management of construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in construction project management, with a focus on ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

The candidate will be based in Bali, Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and expenses are controlled.
  2. Timeline Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with project managers to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  3. Forecasting: Prepare and update financial and timeline forecasts, providing insights into potential impacts on project performance.
  4. Document Control: Collaborate with Project Managers and Civil Engineers to ensure all drawings, details, and material specifications are provided and available.
  5. Cost and Schedule Analysis: Regularly analyze costs and schedules, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  6. Financial Reporting: Generate and present comprehensive financial reports and progress updates to stakeholders, including cost reports and performance metrics.
  7. Contract Administration: Review and manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
  8. Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor adherence to policies, identify risks related to timelines and budgets, and develop mitigation strategies.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and team members to align financial and timeline objectives with project goals.
  10. Problem Solving: Address issues related to project timelines and budgets, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  11. Site Inspection & Supervising: Collaborate with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and site supervisors, conducting field inspections to ensure project timeline adherence.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in construction project control, including experience with project timeline management.

Skills: Proficiency in AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP, MS OFFICE, and MS Project; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction processes, cost management, and scheduling techniques.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder coordination.

Travel: Able to work in Bali & Jakarta.
