For this purpose, under the supervision of National Project Coordinator, UNDP will recruit a Project Assistant for HDRG Unit’s Democratic Governance-Peace and Justice Sub-Cluster who will be responsible to support the implementation of the above projects in line with UNDP rules and regulations. The main role is to support services for projects under Democratic Governance portfolio while ensuring quality of project outputs are delivered in line with the agreed result country programme and in compliance with UNDP procedure. The incumbent also will support the administration and coordination with project stakeholders to strengthen the Democratic Governance cluster.
The main outputs of the position include: support administration arrangement and reporting for team program implementation; manage coordination on procurement process, logistic administration and travel arrangement, for the project implementation; support correspondence with project stakeholders, collect and document beneficiaries databease, monitoring data, and lessons learn for knowledge sharing and institutional memory. The Project Assistat will work in close collaboration with programme team, operations in the CO, technical advisors, experts, Government officials, and other relevant stakeholders to successfully implement the projects under Democratic Governance Cluster. The incumbent will be based in Jakarta Office under overall guidance of National Project Coordinator to support the project on a day-to-day basis to cover the administrative and operational process.

Required skills: Experience in in the field of development would be desirable; Relevant experience in administrative/ financial/ procurement/asset management and project activities would be highly desirable; Knowledge of and experience in supporting administration of environmental projects will be highly desirable.; Demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals from different cultural backgrounds and beliefs which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of different opinions and views; Good inter‑personal and communications skills; Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings and workshops; Fully computer literate (MSOffice), experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc)
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section: Experience work with Government and UN/UNDP procedures would be desirable.; Experience in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing administration report; Experience reviewing project documents to ensure strict compliance with UNDP, UN, or government regulations prior to approval.; Proven track record in compiling project data and drafting annual/quarterly work plans and results-oriented progress reports.; Hands‑on experience executing transactional administrative workflows such as procurement, recruitment, travel coordination, or payment processing.; Experience managing online meeting platforms and maintaining structured digital databases, photo libraries, and physical/electronic archiving systems; Experience maintaining stakeholder contact lists and organizing logistics for workshops, meetings.
Required Language(s): Good in written and spoken English is required; Fluency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia is required.
