Qualifications

About the job: Program Manager (Country Manager)

Job Title: Program Manager, Indonesia

Our client is a digital-first House of Brands targeted at millennials. Driven by purpose, innovation, and technology, their brands connect with millennials and address their needs in the personal care & beauty segment. Their goal is to create a multi-billion dollar valued business in the next 3 years across multiple countries, connected through digital centers of excellence.

They have received funding from leading global investors such as Sequoia, Stellaris Ventures, Fireside Ventures, and Sofina, and were valued at 730 million dollars as of July 2021.

Their brands include a toxin-free personal care line spanning categories like baby care, haircare, face, and skincare, with over 200 natural products. In just 5 years, their products have grown rapidly, reaching USD 70 million in the personal care space. They are available on eCommerce platforms and in 2000 stores nationwide. Their marquee products are ranked as bestsellers on Amazon.

Role and Responsibilities

After aggressive scaling in India, they are exploring international markets, with Indonesia being a key focus due to its vibrant beauty and personal care market. They are looking to establish and scale their business in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Program Management:
  • Create and lead project plans for local entity incorporation and BPOM registration.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with BPOM, Halal, and other registrations.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to the management team in India.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Provide insights on trends in Indonesia’s beauty and personal care market.
    • Co-create the go-to-market strategy with the Indian management team, including product categories, pricing, and channels.
    • Negotiate with e-commerce platforms for product listings.
    • Onboard local vendors and partners for logistics and supply chain management.
    • Engage local marketing and digital agencies to drive online sales.
    • Establish processes for returns, customer complaints, and queries.
    Minimum Qualifications / Must-Haves
    • Undergraduate degree from a tier-1 college.
    • 3-4 years of experience in a growing startup, D2C company, or e-commerce platform in Indonesia.
    • Experience in setting up or scaling a brand is preferred but not required.
    • Experience in the beauty and personal care space is preferred but not required.
    • Proficiency in English and Bahasa.
