Job Overview

The Program / Project Manager (PM) plays a key role in developing and managing programs/projects, fostering long-term client relationships, and understanding the overall business strategy. The Program Manager acts as the 'chief operating officer' of the team, ensuring team members understand their responsibilities, deadlines, and workload. The PM is responsible for managing programs from inception to completion, partnering with internal teams such as sales, engineering, operations, new business, and finance to ensure delivery aligns with strategy, timeline, and budget. The PM shares responsibility for the program's P&L with the Account Manager, with primary focus on development costs.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serve as the main contact for the delivery team and a key client contact during project execution.
  • Lead the internal team to scope projects accurately and set up engagements properly.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within margin, and meet quality standards, managing tactical deliverables across work streams.
  • Develop and manage scope of work and project timelines in collaboration with the General Manager (GM).
  • Coordinate with the GM to ensure adequate resources and plans are in place for project delivery.
  • Conduct project kick-off and regular review meetings to track progress and address issues.
  • Propose new projects based on feasibility studies and business justification.
  • Manage customer onboarding and new business development in partnership with sales, engineering, operations, and finance.
  • Implement project governance, including key performance metrics, and produce regular reports to ensure visibility of project management activities.
  • Follow up on deviations from schedule with project owners, possibly outside normal working hours.
  • Support the GM in achieving revenue goals by reducing the time from project award to purchase order.
  • Participate in new business calls to help develop value propositions.
Key Qualifications and Desirable Experience
