Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) function ensures that manufacturing quality meets WSI requirements, delivering high-quality products on time to satisfy customer expectations. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) associate to join our team. The Production QA associate will lead the quality aspects of new product implementation and maintain consistent quality in production from vendors. This role involves driving product and production improvements to ensure compliance with all relevant requirements, working closely with the sourcing team and vendors.

Key Responsibilities Include
  1. Lead and secure quality assurance in production, ensuring key process control parameters are set and followed by vendors.
  2. Identify key risk areas and align actions to mitigate risks during production, following up on effective implementation.
  3. Perform product audits and inspections to secure final inspection, providing regular feedback to vendors to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction.
  4. Clearly communicate WSI requirements and ensure their implementation.
  5. Train and calibrate production and final inspectors to ensure only high-quality products that meet our standards leave the factory.
  6. Lead improvement projects related to production processes, sharing best practices and knowledge to enable vendors to take full responsibility for their performance.
  7. Address product deviations urgently, capturing learnings, securing root-cause analysis, stock correction, and implementing corrective and preventive actions based on customer feedback.
  8. Ensure product documentation is created and maintained at vendors for WSI and that production implements these requirements.
  9. Evaluate potential new vendors' production facilities and quality systems.
  10. Measure success against key areas including Damage and Quality, Claims, and New Product On-Time Delivery.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need
  1. Extensive knowledge in the respective home furnishing product category, including constructions, materials, product, and quality levels.
  2. Strong understanding of production processes and technologies.
  3. Skilled experience in process evaluation techniques and analysis of vendors' working methods and performance.
  4. In-depth knowledge of product requirements, regulatory standards, and process test requirements.
  5. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing within the home furnishing merchandise sector.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of product and materials value chain and cost aspects.
  7. Solution-oriented with a strong analytical and structured approach to problem-solving.
  8. Genuine interest in understanding production realities and continuous improvements.
  9. Ability to make decisions and solve problems with a holistic view, maintaining a sense of urgency and an uncompromising attitude towards quality.
  10. Ability to motivate and lead colleagues and vendors to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  11. Capability to lead projects and ensure their successful implementation.
  12. Curiosity to learn about customer needs and requirements, and a commitment to continuous learning.
