We are seeking a diligent and experienced Production Assistant Manager to join our team at PT Majati Furniture, a leading furniture manufacturer located in Semarang, Central Java. In this full-time, permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the day-to-day production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal productivity within our manufacturing facility.
What you'll be doing
Production Support & Execution
Translate production plans (via Katana software) into clear, actionable tasks
Monitor daily progress and resolve bottlenecks in workflow
Ensure timely and accurate data entry for production planning and reporting
Use Katana software to manage work orders and provide real-time updates
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams
Support HR in onboarding and training new production staff
Manage production using Katana for visibility and tracking
English fluency (spoken & written) is required
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in the furniture industry
Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling and inventory management principles
Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills
Proven track record of leading and motivating production teams
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
