Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Pricing Lead to manage the development of new product initiatives and support the Head of Pricing with ad hoc product tasks at our Jakarta office. The role entails leading pricing analysts, negotiating with reinsurance, and coordinating with Sun Life regional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in actuarial science or related field, 4–7 years pricing experience, and actuarial certifications.

• Proficient in Excel, VBA Macro, AXIS.
• Understand different types of products and profit drivers.
• Deep understanding of actuarial cashflows and how changes affect profitability.
• Understand distribution needs and market dynamics.
• Able to manage and lead a team of pricing analysts.
• Able to communicate actuarial results and translate to business decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Job Description

Pricing Lead will be responsible for managing the development of new product initiatives and assisting Head of Pricing in any adhocs related to product.

Preferred skills

• Proficient in Excel, VBA Macro, AXIS
• Understand different types of products and profit drivers
• Have deep understanding of actuarial cashflows and able to quickly connect changes in assumptions with impact to profitability
• Understand the different needs of distribution
• Able to manage and lead a team of pricing analysts
• Able to communicate actuarial results and translate to recommended business decision
• Good communication skill (verbal and written) in English

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field
• 4-7 years of pricing experience
• Actuarial exam certifications (Associate certification or higher is preferred)
