Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers; maintain strong vendor relationships.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts and purchase agreements.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor procurement budgets, analyze spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with other asset management team to manage stock levels and delivery schedules.

Team Leadership: Supervise and develop procurement staff; foster collaboration across departments; able to lead Procurements Group across TMT Group to maximize the Group contract and optimize costs.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of procurement, such as supply chain management, business administration, engineering, and construction management.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in leading procurements, with a significant portion in the construction and real estate industry. Experience in managing medium to large-scale projects.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Construction expertise: in-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Contract management: proficiency in drafting, negotiation, and managing contracts with suppliers, sub-contractors, and vendors, including understanding legal terms, contract clauses, and change order procedures.
  • Financial acumen: strong skills in budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, and project finances to ensure spending aligns with budget and at reasonable prices.
  • Supply chain management: a firm grasp of supply chain logistics from sourcing, inventory management, and timely delivery of materials, especially to projects.

Core Competencies:

  • Negotiation skills: the ability to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and schedules with suppliers and vendors to achieve efficient and effective cost savings and project efficiency.
  • Analytical thinking: the ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance data, cost-benefit scenarios to make informed decisions.
  • Communication and relationship management: must effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including building owners, project managers, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain strong and ethical relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Risk management: the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate procurement risks.
  • Leadership and decision-making: able to lead procurements, propose or make critical decisions under pressure, and manage a team to meet demanding deadlines.
