We're currently looking for contract-based staff to support our Capex Procurement team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify equipment needs and specifications based on project requirements.
- Sourcing, develop and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and dealers to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and high-quality products.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with equipment vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Coordinate and manage purchasing tenders, including preparing tender documents, issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
- Collaborate with logistics department for transportation, delivery to ensure seamless integration into construction projects.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of capital expenditure equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to construction equipment to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, purchases, warranties, and maintenance schedules using procurement software/systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing capital expenditure equipment for the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction equipment types, brands, and specifications.
- Experience in managing purchasing tenders, including preparing documents, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and dealers.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and budget reviews.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software/systems.
- Full proficiency in English or Mandarin.
- Working Location is in Serpong, Tangerang.
- Working arrangement: WFO, Monday-Friday, 08.00-17.00
