About the role

Immerse yourself in the energizing atmosphere of Reckitt as our new Procurement Manager. Take the lead in managing a significant procurement portfolio and make an impact in how we negotiate, source, and strategize.

The purpose of the role is to shape Procurement operating strategy of a group of materials and/or services with close involvement with the Supply function, Research & Development, Finance, and Marketing. Your decisions will not only drive efficiency and savings but will shape the overarching procurement experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and recommend the strategy, sourcing, and contracting of suppliers to generate a competitive advantage for the operations and meeting regional needs.
  • Manage, lead, and coach a team of Procurement Managers/Buyers through the process of identifying, selecting, and developing supplier relationships.
  • Lead negotiations with relevant suppliers to achieve gross margin expansion and net working capital reduction.
  • Design, verify, and amend contracts in collaboration with the Legal team, minimizing liabilities, managing costs, availability, and protecting intellectual property.
  • Manage the budget assumptions for the managed materials/services.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in each sourcing process, driving mitigation and contingency plans to ensure continued supply of the materials/services.
  • Monitor the quality and service of the suppliers, driving improvement strategies.
  • Monitor commodity feedstock information and market dynamics to exploit commercial advantages.
The experience we're looking for
  • Minimum hold BA/BSc degree in any degree discipline or similar qualification. MBA advantageous but not essential.
  • Having at least 7 years of experience in the relevant industry with 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
  • Proven track record as an excellent negotiator with experience managing significant financial responsibilities.
  • Accomplished in creating and implementing wide-reaching procurement strategies.
  • Practiced in steering complex sourcing activities and high-level contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • Adapt at managing currency risks and recognizing financial opportunities.
  • Proficient in developing comprehensive knowledge of advanced procurement and sourcing tactics.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with Legal departments to ensure contracts are beneficial and secure.
  • Experience in leading a team, including mentoring trainees and interns.
