Procurement Manager

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field; Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
3. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Hana ERP MM module is essential.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes.
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favourable terms and pricing.
6. Strong understanding of procurement fundamentals, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
7. Prior experience managing a team of 5-6 procurement professionals is required.
8. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs and SLAs in a procurement role.
9. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
10. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
11. Commitment to delivering results and meeting targets within established timelines.
12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
13. Manufacturing/Petro-Chemical/Oil & Gas background is preferred.

Training & Certification

Having a certification in SCM and Logistics functions would be advantageous.

Job Descriptions

1. Manage the entire procure-to-pay process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, reduce costs, and optimize supplier relationships.
3. Maintain high standards of integrity and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
4. Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of excellence.
5. Utilize SAP S/4 Hana ERP MM module to manage procurement activities efficiently and effectively.
6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
7. Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
8. Prepare and present reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
10. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while meeting quality standards and budgetary constraints.
11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
12. Represent the procurement function in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
13. Uphold professional communication standards in all interactions, both written and verbal.
14. Set clear objectives and expectations for the procurement team, monitoring performance and providing support as needed.
15. Strategically guide the team to achieve departmental and organizational goals, meeting or exceeding set KPIs and SLAs.
