Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager you will be direct report to Supply Chain Management Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all procurement and logistics operations to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services for estate and mill activities.
- Develop procurement plans aligned with plantation operational needs, including planting, harvesting, and estate maintenance cycles.
- Manage vendor relationships, including price negotiations, performance evaluations, and compliance audits.
- Design and implement effective logistics strategies for remote plantation sites, coordinating with local and national transport vendors.
- Oversee import shipments, ensuring all documentation and customs clearance procedures are handled efficiently.
- Control procurement costs, conduct quotation analysis, and support tendering processes for major procurement categories.
- Coordinate with warehouse and field teams to ensure availability of critical stock and timely replenishment.
- Monitor and resolve procurement and delivery issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in orders.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on procurement performance, vendor KPIs, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Handle any urgent or ad-hoc procurement and logistics matters to support uninterrupted plantation operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial position, specifically in a plantation environment (e.g., palm oil, rubber, sugarcane, etc.).
- Strong understanding of plantation operations, including seasonal cycles, agrochemical needs, heavy equipment, spare parts, and fertilizer supply chains.
- Hands-on experience managing procurement for both local and imported goods required by estate and mill operations.
- Proven ability to develop supply strategies for remote or hard-to-access locations.
- Familiar with international trade regulations, import-export processes, and customs clearance.
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain/logistics software.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams (estate, warehouse, mill, finance).
