An established industry player is seeking a skilled Engineering professional to enhance the technological performance of manufacturing plants. This role involves optimizing processes, reducing operational costs, and ensuring quality through data analysis. Optimizes the technological performance of plants under responsibility (capacity, equipment, tools, materials) and ensures the transfer of results and synergy between the various coating mills.
Develops tools, improves manufacturing processes, and leads continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, proposing solutions, and executing plans.
Improves quality and efficiency through process control and data analysis of technological parameters.
Reduces operational costs by optimizing tools and materials consumption.
Collaborates with Operations and Quality teams to define acceptance criteria, resolve issues, and propose corrective actions. Trains and supports the implementation of corporate initiatives at the local level.
Develops the process for producing new products or specifications in cooperation with Product Engineering.
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Metallurgy) or equivalent.
At least 5 years of working experience in heavy industry, where safety and quality are the main priorities.
Ability to conceptualize solutions and excellent communication skills. Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Expertise in process analysis, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques.
Proficient in statistical tools (SPSS or others).
Knowledge of materials, ideally polypropylenes, but a broader knowledge of materials is advantageous.
Ideally, have knowledge of technical methods such as DFM (Design for Manufacturability), SPC (Statistical Process Control), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or DOE (Design of Experiments).
