Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well asInfra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

We are looking for a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, sustaining, and improving production processes within their assigned area. This role will involve creating detailed process documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production processes, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and ensuring high product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and Optimize Production Yields: Apply statistical techniques to analyze and improve production yield, ensuring consistent process performance.

Troubleshoot Process Issues: Provide hands-on support to diagnose and resolve issues in existing production processes.

New Product Introduction (NPI): Develop processes that facilitate the manufacture of new products, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Create and Maintain Process Documentation: Develop, update, and improve detailed product and process documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.

Evaluate and Certify Operators: Assess operator skills and provide certification for competency in production processes.

Equipment and Material Qualification: Lead the qualification process for new or relocated equipment, materials, and processes, producing detailed reports and evaluations.

Technical Material Expertise: Provide expert guidance on the suitability of materials for production processes.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify, initiate, and lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and solving chronic issues.

Adhere to Compliance Standards: Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, environmental, health, and safety standards in the assigned area.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics.

Statistical Expertise: Proficiency in statistical techniques for process control and process capability measurement (e.g., SPC, DOE).

Problem-Solving Skills: Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools, such as 5-Whys, 8D, and FMEA.

Six Sigma: Six Sigma Green Belt certification or training is an added advantage.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to support documentation translation and effective communication with Mandarin-speaking teams.

Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
