Job summary

SMOORE Indonesia is hiring a process engineer to develop and maintain core process documentation, design workshops with CAD tools, and drive automation initiatives. The role emphasizes Lean methodologies, PFMEA, and data-driven improvement.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in electronics/assembly manufacturing, strong CAD/CAE skills, and expertise in Six Sigma and quality tools; leadership and project management are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
2–5 years in manufacturing/process development; open to strong internships.
Solid knowledge of product processing in electronics/assembly sectors.
Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAE tools and workshop layout/jig fabrication.
Strong mastery of Six Sigma tools, control charts, PFMEA.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain core process documentation (PFD, P&ID, SOPs, WI).
Use SolidWorks/Pro-E/Ansys/Onshape for workshop planning and fixture design.
Drive automation and intelligent manufacturing initiatives.
Lead Lean projects: pull systems, SMED, 5S, Kaizen, and VSM.
Conduct 5-Why, Fishbone, PFMEA; implement corrections with 8-step troubleshooting.
Apply SPC/DOE/Cp/Cpk using Excel and Minitab; monitor KPIs with TPM and DMS.
Supervise and mentor a small team of technicians or junior engineers.

Job description

Develop and maintain core process documentation including PFD, PFC, P&ID, SOPs, and Work Instructions (WI)

Utilize 3D drawing software (SolidWorks/Pro-E/Ansys/Onshape) for workshop layout planning, equipment positioning, and fixture/jig design

Drive automation and intelligent manufacturing initiatives based on solid Process Engineering principles

Spearhead Lean manufacturing projects, specifically launching pull systems, driving SMED projects, and optimizing JIT production processes using 5S, Kaizen, and VSM

Conduct root-cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone) and PFMEA; implement corrective actions using 8-step troubleshooting and 7 QC tools

Apply statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk) via Excel/Minitab to monitor process capability; track project KPIs through TPM and DMS

Supervise, mentor, and manage a small team of technicians or junior engineers

About you

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering fields

2–5 years of experience in manufacturing/process development (Open to high-caliber entry-level candidates with strong internship backgrounds)

Solid knowledge of product processing, specifically within Electronics or Assembly manufacturing sectors

Proficient in 3D CAD/CAE tools and hands-on workshop layout/jig fabrication

Strong mastery of Six Sigma tools, control charts, and PFMEA methodology

Advanced Excel (Pivot & Macros) and Minitab/Python; familiarity with PowerBI or basic SQL is highly preferred

Proven capability in project management, analytical problem-solving, and basic team leadership
