Do you have the drive and aptitude to turn ideas into reality? Do you share our passion for the environment and harnessing technology to decarbonize our society? Do you know or want to learn how environmental policy and politics can transform markets, and have an interest in sustainable transportation in Indonesia and your community? If you do, this may well be the job for you. We are seeking a Data Analyst for Indonesia. This is a role based in Indonesia, preferably Jakarta.
We are looking for a candidate who can develop and apply advanced quantitative analysis tools and techniques, synthesizing data from various sources to support our mission of creating a sustainable transport system. This could include for example total cost of ownership assessments, life-cycle analysis, and techno-economic feasibility research. The role will involve evaluating the reliability and relevance of evidence and providing objective, technical advice to shape policy and influence the public narrative on maritime (shipping) and/or road transport issues.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, economics, or a related scientific field, with experience in transport and energy modeling, research, or similar areas. We are unfortunately only able to consider candidates with the unrestricted legal right to work in Indonesia. The salary package and title depend on an assessment of relevant experience.
This project is part of an effort to accelerate Indonesia's transition, supporting its economy-wide net zero emissions goal by 2060 or sooner. The focus is on the decarbonization of the transport sector with particular focus on the maritime and heavy duty vehicle sector.
T&E is the independent expert in enabling clean transport for all. Our vision is a zero‑emissions mobility system that is affordable and has minimal impacts on our health and environment. Since we were created 30 years ago, T&E has shaped some of Europe’s most important environmental laws. We got the EU to set the world's most ambitious CO2 standards for cars and trucks but also helped uncover the Dieselgate scandal; we campaigned successfully to end palm oil diesel, secured a global ban on dirty shipping fuels and the creation of the aviation ETS, the world's largest carbon market for aviation, to name just a few.
We combine the power of robust, science‑based evidence and a deep understanding of transport with powerful communications and impactful advocacy. Our staff in Brussels, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, Warsaw and London collaborate with our 49 national members. From 2024, T&E has been enhancing our collaboration between Asia and Europe, starting from our Singapore office, to accelerate zero‑emission transport and energy transition, helping ensure that global decarbonisation efforts are both inclusive and regionally grounded. Altogether, our members represent more than 3.5 million people.
