Job summary

Equatorise is seeking a Senior Consultant – Energy Transition to join its Net Zero Sustainability Transition practice. You will lead technical workstreams, conduct policy and market analyses, and mentor junior consultants while building strong client relationships across Indonesia and internationally.

You will help shape advisory engagements, contribute to business development, and deliver actionable recommendations through reports, whitepapers, and briefs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant consulting, advisory, research, or industry experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in energy transition, renewable energy, power systems, sustainable finance, or climate policy.
• Strong familiarity with the policy and regulatory landscape of energy transition in Indonesia.
• Experience with international development institutions or national government agencies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical workstreams across projects related to energy transition, renewable energy, sustainable finance, and climate strategy.
• Conduct policy, market, and technical analysis to develop evidence-based recommendations for clients.
• Assess market trends, policy developments, and investment opportunities related to energy transition in Indonesia and globally.
• Supervise and mentor junior consultants, ensuring high-quality outputs and team growth.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal development, client engagement, and knowledge generation.
• Prepare reports, whitepapers, executive briefings, and presentations to support client decision-making.
• Build up and own client relationships, understanding the client’s issues and how to support, rectify issues, and contribute to their success
• Represent Equatorise in stakeholder meetings, technical forums, conferences, and industry engagements.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Energy Transition to join our growing Net Zero Sustainability Transition (NZST) practice.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in energy transition, renewable energy, sustainable finance, and climate policy who are passionate about shaping strategic advisory work. As a technical specialist, you will contribute your subject matter expertise across consulting engagements while supporting the Leadership team in delivering impactful outcomes for clients across Indonesia and internationally.

What you’ll be up to in this role

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, Economics, Sustainable Development, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant consulting, advisory, research, or industry experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in energy transition, renewable energy, power systems, sustainable finance, or climate policy.
• Strong familiarity with the policy and regulatory landscape of energy transition in Indonesia.
• Experience working with international development institutions or national government agencies (K/L) is an advantage
• Experience at a top-tier global consulting firm is a strong plus
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work with great attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and effective time management
• Have higher education qualifications from reputable universities in the UK, Europe, the US, or Indonesia.
