PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle Procurement and negotiations with shipping line, NVOCC and domestic liner.

Maintain relationships with shipping line, Coleader and regional team.

Maintain and update a comprehensive pricing database with current rates, surcharges, and market information.

Actively research and analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and economic factors impacting ocean freight rates.

Respond to complex RFQs (Request for Quotations) and tenders, ensuring all pricing components are covered and submitted within deadlines.

Monitor and report on ocean freight market trends, capacity, and rate fluctuations.

Provide insights and recommendations to management on pricing strategies, trade lane development, and carrier selection.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements.

SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB

Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint.

Proactive, self-motivated, and commercially astute with a deep understanding of profitability.
