About the Role

As a Presales Engineer, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing client requirements, designing and preparing solution architectures, providing technical consultation, and supporting the sales team throughout the proposal development process. This role also involves managing the technical aspects of client engagements to ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and highly responsible individual with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex business problems, deliver scalable technical solutions, and effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Descriptions

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales/Business Development and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment on project requirements, scope, and proposed solutions.
  • Analyze and define technical requirements needed to achieve client goals, and communicate these clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise during client engagements to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Support sales executives with technical presentations and discussions during client meetings, contributing to the overall sales and pre-sales strategy.
  • Estimate man-days for new projects or Change Requests (CRs) received from the Revenue Team, ensuring estimates are delivered within the defined SLA of 5 working days (maximum).
  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Project teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
  • Define and develop detailed project timelines, outlining key milestones, resource allocation, and deadlines to ensure on-time and successful delivery.
  • Provide tailored IT solution recommendations based on client needs and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Act as a consultant to clients, guiding them through the process of creating comprehensive, actionable Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Work with clients to clarify and document their business requirements and ensure alignment with the proposed technical solutions.
  • Develop and/or review solution architecture and design documentation to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Provide continuous evaluation and support of architectural solutions before and after deployment to ensure successful implementation.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the client's products and services to deliver customized technical solutions.
  • Facilitate clear and effective knowledge transfer from client-facing activities to internal project or product teams.
  • Create and maintain case studies and use cases from successful project implementations to support future solution development and client engagement.
  • Maintain and update the technical inventory module and business documentation to ensure centralized, accessible, and up-to-date project information.
  • Ensure all technical and project documentation accurately reflects current architecture, workflows, and delivered solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Must have at least 4–6 years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or a related role.
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical sales and engineering teams in an IT consulting or technology-driven environment.
  • Preferred certifications include: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (Certified Solutions Architect), CISSP, CISM, CEH, or knowledge of Security Compliance standards such as ISO 27001.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of technical acumen combined with strong business understanding; ability to deliver consultative value to clients.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and documentation systems.
  • Strong competencies in communication, time management, adaptability, analytical thinking, technical consulting, and problem-solving.
