Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Quality Control Inspector/Operator-Expert at its Batam site. You will oversee final product quality, maintain inspection records, and ensure conformance through dimensional checks, hardness tests, and phosphate visuals in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, performing inspections per work orders, and supporting QMS/HSE initiatives to foster a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical high school with 3 years of experience.
• Experience inspecting and measuring component parts in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Familiar with measurement tools and gauges.
• Perform dimensional inspection and hardness testing.
• Knowledge of QA/HSSE systems.
• Verify hydro test parameters & report validation.
• Test and Assembly inspections.
• Maintain accurate inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Routing Package review (Spec, Drawing, Picklist, Document Revision).
• Provide dimensional, COC, inspection report and traceability in MO package.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection activities.
• Verify gages and tool calibration, validate reports from outsourced processes.
• Perform inspection as per work order (Dimensional, Hardness, Phosphating, Test and Assembly).
• Record inspection results and raise a NCR for non-conforming items.
• Maintain inspection records per QMS requirements.
• Participate in Quality & HSE program and improve Quality/HSE culture at Batam Site.
