Job Description
- Create and execute a comprehensive plan that aligns production with customer demand while effectively managing inventory levels, including raw materials.
- Facilitate key Sales & Operations Planning meetings, ensuring seamless collaboration between sales and operations teams.
- Serve as the primary contact for production volume planning, particularly in situations with supply limitations, ensuring alignment with customer demand.
- Develop and evaluate backup plans (e.g., stockpiling, alternative suppliers, optimising production capacity) to maintain supply chain resilience and cost-effectiveness.
- Regularly review and manage slow-moving and quarantined inventory, implementing proper controls.
- Continuously refine the planning process to adapt to evolving business needs and enhance its effectiveness.
- Analyse demand forecasts and production plans using key metrics, ensuring accountability for action items and accurate reporting.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain.
- Ability to analyse data and optimise supply, demand, and inventory.
- Skilled in coordinating and aligning teams across functions.
- Experience leading S&OP processes and driving effective planning.
- Proactive in managing supply constraints and creating contingency plans.
- Focused on accuracy, continuous improvement, and results.
