Job summary

A leading resources-based industry in Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara, seeks a Senior Manager for their power plant operations. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in power generation, specifically with CFB boilers. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years working in a power plant with ≥100MW capacity.
• Over 5 years hands-on experience operating modern Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boilers.
• At least 3 years in a senior managerial role in a power generation facility.
• Prior experience in a CFB power plant within the pulp and paper industry is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of CFB boiler systems.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent understanding of safety & environmental compliance.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.

• Review daily/weekly/monthly mill production & plan area production.
• Monitor alkali inventory to manage plant operation trouble free.
• Conduct daily departmental meetings & review the daily operation.

Job description

Review daily/weekly/monthly mill production & plan area production. Monitor alkali inventory to manage plant operation trouble free.

Conduct daily departmental meetings & review the daily operation, efficiency & concerns.

Maintain capacity of plant at design level by following up for regular maintenance schedules.

Ensure plant is running in environmentally friendly manner with all environmental norms.

Take plant round to check condition of equipments, discuss with operators about safety, environment, and improvements.

Take regular boiler walk down to observe any abnormal sounds like leaks.

Drive improvement work program by creating environment of Continuous Improvement.

Ensure operators are following up all SOP's, all control loops are in auto mode & no interlocking is bypassed.

Take plant round to check condition of equipment, discuss with operators/supervisor/process engineer about safety, environment, and improvements.

Plan for opportunity shut down & annually shut down.

Coordinating with maintenance for availability of all critical spares.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related field.
