Company Description: Provider of Hotel and Marine Personnel to International Cruise Lines, Commercial Shipping, and Hotels Worldwide.

Job Description:
  1. Familiar with terms used in machinery spaces, and knows the names of machinery and equipment relevant to the duties.
  2. Familiar with all water, sewage, and waste handling systems throughout the vessel.
  3. Coordinate with carpenters and electricians to facilitate the smooth execution of maintenance objectives.
  4. Test backflow preventing valves and vacuum breaker valves as required by USPH.
  5. Ensure all new installations comply with USPH requirements, emphasizing air gaps and air breaks.
  6. For planned maintenance in Guests’ or Crew accommodation areas:
  • Make provisions to avoid damage to fixtures, fittings, and decorations before starting work.
  • After completion, remove work materials and tools; arrange for Housekeeping to assist in cleaning if necessary.
  • Undertake all work in compliance with Flag State, Classification Society, and local safety regulations, including safety procedures for burning, cutting, welding, and chemical handling.
  • Compile repair specifications for work during turn-around and refit periods.
  • Follow the muster list and special instructions issued by the Master and Chief Engineer.
  • Be available for 'On Call' duty as assigned.
