Platform Integrity, Product Policy, and Compliance Lead - Public Policy

We are a global tech company committed to driving innovation, growth, and positive impact. Our team in Public Policy and Government Relations (PPGR) plays a key role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory standards and align with the needs of the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a specialist to join our team, focusing on the social media/user-generated content (UGC) and e-commerce vertical for the Indonesia market.

Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance: Lead the interpretation and implementation of Indonesian regulations relevant to social media, UGC, and e-commerce platforms.

Develop and drive a long-term compliance roadmap that ensures operational readiness for regulatory changes and emerging policy trends. Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on regulatory risks and opportunities, particularly in areas of content moderation, platform safety, and consumer protection. Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key sectoral regulators, including the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Ministry of Trade, Food and Drugs Agency, and others. Represent the company in regulatory negotiations, public consultations, and multi-stakeholder forums, advocating for balanced and innovation-friendly policy outcomes. Provide strategic insight and influence in policy development processes at both national and industry levels.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the Regulatory & Advocacy pillar to provide clear updates and compliance guidance to internal teams on new regulations and compliance risks. Work closely with internal trust and safety, legal, and other related teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and operational processes.

Incident and Risk Management: Lead the company’s response to high-stakes regulatory incidents and government inquiries related to platform safety or legal compliance. Develop and oversee internal governance frameworks to monitor compliance risks, ensuring rapid resolution and alignment with global protocols.

Product Review: Oversee regulatory reviews of new product features and platform updates in the Indonesian market, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and legal alignment. Serve as a strategic voice in product planning discussions to ensure that user safety, regulatory requirements, and business objectives are fully harmonized.

  • Demonstrated success in building high-trust relationships with regulatory authorities and government bodies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to operate in fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
