Job summary

Job description

Specialist in plastic component and associated tool / mould: specifying, implementing, and qualifying the tool & manufacturing process in compliance with Schneider Performance System principles.

• Ensure the pourability and manufacturability of plastic components used in assembly or fabrication processes. Design choices should be based on industrial and technological capabilities to meet customer and Schneider requirements (quality / delivery / cost).

• For new offers, ensure the manufacturability of the plastic component and tool. Contribute to continuous improvement actions for the tool & manufacturing process. Provide technical expertise within the local industrialization or manufacturing engineering teams.

• Select, validate, introduce, and standardize new technologies/processes in the plastic components domain.

Key Missions:

  1. Define needs for new tools (renewal, capacity, productivity, regionalization) annually and review quarterly.
  2. Launch tools with technical and financial studies, then follow up according to schedule and needs.
  3. Monitor project execution continuously.
  4. Approve tools, maintain related documentation, and establish maintenance plans.
  5. Monitor tool condition and perform periodic tooling appraisals with follow-up actions.
  6. Maintain and manage the tooling database via Vendor Tooling Management system.
  7. Support CS&Q, SCM, Production, Technical, and Purchasing teams on tooling aspects.
  8. Provide technical support to factories.
  9. Ensure robustness of developed parts and tooling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Tooling, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in molding/tooling industry within an international manufacturing company.
  • Skills in tools/molds management, troubleshooting, structure, and processes like stamping, plastic, die casting.
  • Material selection and engineering drawing skills (ISO8015).
  • Proficiency in Indonesian/Bahasa and English.
  • Location: Batam Island, Indonesia.
