Job description

Overview

Supervise and ensure the operational reliability of heavy equipment, support units, and auxiliary facilities at the mining site. Develop, implement, and control preventive and corrective maintenance programs for heavy equipment, vehicles, and supporting facilities. Conduct machine failure analysis (troubleshooting) and provide technical recommendations for repair. Optimize unit utilization by ensuring equipment availability meets mining production targets. Coordinate with plant, maintenance, and mining operations teams to support smooth mining activities. Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, downtime, availability, and maintenance costs. Ensure the implementation of HSE standards (Health, Safety, and Environment) in all plant and workshop activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Plant Engineer/Plant Maintenance in the coal mining or mining contractor industry.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance systems (Komatsu, Hitachi, LGMG, etc.) as well as light and heavy vehicles.
• Familiar with ERP systems (Ellipse).
• Able to read manuals and part catalogs, and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
• Knowledgeable in plant management, unit KPIs (PA, MA, UA, DT), and maintenance monitoring systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willing to work under a roster system.
• Willing to be assigned to any project site of PT Mitra Muda Makmur under a roster work system.
